Hi, welcome to my blog!

Tripping the Urban Fantastic is all about my journey as a writer, and the tips and tricks and musings that I find to help with that process. I'm currently working on my third novel, an Urban Fantasy tentatively titled Inheritance.

I self-published my first novel, Running Full Circle, years ago, before I realized what needed to go into a manuscript before daring to do such a thing. The experience was sobering, to say the least.

I'm honing my craft before attempting to publish along a more traditional route. It took me a long time to decide on a genre to settle into, but feel like I've found my home in Urban Fantasy. I'll be posting portions of Inheritance as I go along.

When I'm not working on my novel, I'm moonlighting as a Project Manager for a leading advertising firm in Greenville, SC where I live with my husband, teenage son, and stubborn, independent Shiba Inu. I'm in the home stretch on finishing my BA in Creative Writing with Southern New Hampshire University, which has provided invaluable knowledge for my writing career.
